Do you have the wish to draw realistically but never knew where to start? Or you did start drawing but failed to get a proper likeness in your work? If so, we are happy to offer you this drawing course that will boost your drawing skills.

Based on works from the old masters we will study important drawing concepts like proportion and line quality. This will provide us with a good foundation and serves as preparation for the next step: life drawing.

Just like great masters as Leonardo da Vinci, Raphaël and Michelangelo our main focus will be model drawing. The human body is to date still one of the most complex designs to understand. Therefore: lessons learned from studying the figure are universal, and can be applied to any project – such as drawing landscapes or portraits.

Ilse Nass will host the course. Having enjoyed a classical education abroad, her thorough knowledge and understanding of the craft combined with an individual approach per student ensures this course will be suitable for both beginners and professional artists who wish to develop their artistic talents. Also: people who already joined these classes last year are more than welcome. It’s a technique you learn by practice and repetion.
If needed extra tasks will be provided.

If you’re interested in this course but not sure whether to subscribe: a first class will be hosted on Friday the 22nd of January from 13.30-16.30h. For a trial lesson (free) you can send an email to the reception (klantenservice@maastricht.nl) and we’ll preserve you a spot.
